Lightning strike kills one person and injures four in Cusco

Thunderstorms keep taking lives in the Andean areas of Peru. In the community of Llactapampa, province of Acomaya, Miguel Puma Condori, 33, died after a lightning struck an adobe house with a corrugated iron roof. In addition, 4 members of his family were injured after the strike.

The survivors were assisted by community members and the police, and then they were transferred to the Acomayo health center.

It should be noted that Senamhi Cusco had issued an orange alert due to heavy rains, thunderstorms, hail and snow.
