The Latin American Lightning and Education Network is a Non-Profit Organization that seeks to raise awareness around the dangers of thunderstorms and the many accidents that occur within the poorest villages in rural areas around Central America and South America.

PhD in transitional lightning signals, and specialist in earthing systems, protection against thunderstorms, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).

José Luis Falcón Chavez

Electrical engineer specialized in fire prevention and investigation, and trainer on electrical safety and electrical regulations. Furthermore, he is an advisor on electrical installations in medium and low voltage, as well as NFPA electrical regulations consultant.

Lizardo A. Lopez

Electrical engineer, LPI Certified Master Installer-Designer, has over 30 years in lightning protection, managing and evaluating 1,700+ projects. His expertise extends from system safety and efficiency to international education on the NFPA 780 standard and specialized consulting in Lightning Protection Systems.

Daniel Esteban Villamil Sierra

CEO at LALENet. Electrical Engineer with a Masters in Engineering. Daniel has made significant contributions to the field of lightning safety, authoring several books and articles, and is a renowned speaker at prominent global events like SIPDA and ICLP. His notable work in the field was recognized at the ICLP 2016 in Portugal, where he was honored with the Young Scientist Award YSA.

Richard Ríos Flores

Bolivian Electrical Engineer with an outstanding track record of more than 30 years in the design and assembly of thermal power plants and substations. Educated in Ukraine and Moscow, he has worked on substations for cement plants, modification of electrical networks, and protection systems in the gas and oil sector. Currently, he is a member of the Review Committee for the NB 777 Standard at IBNORCA and associated with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) at the Bolivian Institute of Energy.
